South Korea's army is preparing robots for dangerous work such as demining, so that people take less risk.
According to RIA Novosti, South Korea's Defense Ministry has opened Base AX in the Techno Valley technology park in Pohang, where data are collected and stored for training and testing humanoid and multi-legged robots. The ministry plans to use them to carry cargo in dangerous areas, disarm explosive devices and clear mines to reduce risk to personnel. The ministry says four more military SI centers will be created.
