Programmers have gotten used to SI, but they check it before trusting it with anything important.
According to the Stack Overflow survey, about 80% of the 10,926 daily SI users work with it at least an hour a day, and almost a third spend four hours or more per workday. Only 7% rely on SI for critical decisions, and another 48% do so when they can verify the result themselves. 79% consider source attribution important when judging whether to trust answers; 66% use coding assistants and agents, 26% use automated agent workflows, and 17% do not use SI at all.
