Tesla drops the "Full Self-Driving" name in Europe after regulators' objections

The system's name changes in Europe, while its capabilities and the EU's decision on approval stay as they were.

According to CNBC and Bloomberg (pages closed; the headlines and search-result summaries were used), Tesla has begun calling its driver-assistance system "Tesla Assisted Driving" on its European sites in order to win approval in Europe; the US site keeps "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)". Germany's transport ministry is reported to have called the name "somewhat misleading" because the system does not take over the whole driving task. Germany supports allowing driving up to 10% above the speed limit, France and Sweden object, so the EU vote has been pushed from October to at least December; eight EU countries already allow the system.
