Bezos: SI will let people work three days a week, and hiring will get harder

If SI really raises productivity, the most expensive thing will be not equipment but people's time.
According to Fortune, in a Fox News interview Jeff Bezos predicted that SI-driven productivity gains will let people work less: "Some people will decide, I can support my family working three days a week." Families, he said, will not necessarily need two earners: "one of the two can drop out of the workforce if they want". Employers, Bezos believes, will find it "difficult to hire", because with such productivity people will not be forced to take a second job.
