Shield AI and Greece's GEK TERNA agree to produce and support the X-BAT fighter in Greece

According to Shield AI, the company and GEK TERNA, Greece's largest critical infrastructure investor, signed an agreement to work together on parts production, integration and sustainment of the X-BAT in Greece; the country is planned to become a regional hub for training, logistics and maintenance for Cyprus, the Balkans and Southeast Europe. Shield AI describes the X-BAT as a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with the Hivemind SI pilot, a combat radius of 1,000 nautical miles and weapons of up to 2,000 pounds; flight testing, it says, is scheduled for late 2026.
