According to OpenAI's report, the company disabled ChatGPT accounts linked to two operations that hid behind "false fronts", fictitious research organizations and authors. The Russian operation scored 5 on OpenAI's six-point scale and the Iranian one 4; according to unite.ai, the Iranian network published almost 100 articles under invented journalists' names in about a dozen small outlets. OpenAI says it has disrupted 30 such operations over 2.5 years and passed information on two new ones to the authorities.
