Another industrial giant is entering the humanoid market: these robots are moving from labs into factory plans.
Panasonic Holdings intends to begin manufacturing humanoid robots for production lines and warehouses by 2029, SI director Akira Sakakibara said in an interview with Nikkei (per Vedomosti). Development is already under way at its SI and robotics lab, but "there is nothing to show yet". The company plans to draw on its experience in batteries: it calls battery safety a key factor.
