AWS releases Strands Box, an open sandbox that stops SI agents from running in "YOLO mode"

Agents' freedom of action is now set by rules: the better the rules, the bolder the work they can be given.
AWS open-sourced Strands Box, an OS-level isolation sandbox that applies contextual rules to autonomous agents: for example, no more than three Slack posts per 10 minutes, API call limits and git push timing. It monitors file operations, shell commands and Python execution. According to AWS, agents increasingly run in "YOLO mode", approving every action without human review. It is currently available for macOS; a Linux version is in development, and there is no timeline for Windows.
