A person from the world of SI assistants is taking over one of the leading robotics companies: physical robots are increasingly built as SI products.
Prasad, who spent 12 years at Amazon and led Alexa and AGI work there, takes up the post on October 7 and becomes the company's third CEO. Before him, chief financial officer Amanda McMaster served as acting CEO after Robert Playter left in February 2026. Hyundai Motor Group holds a controlling stake; Prasad said he wants to turn the combination of SI and robotics into products for industry and business.
