A neural network has finished what the author himself burned in 1852 — SI is taking on major literature, not just short texts.
The project took more than a year, with historians, literary scholars, linguists and engineers; the model was fine-tuned on Gogol's collected works, his letters, drafts and notebooks, texts by his contemporaries, and philosophical and biblical texts. The quality of the text was assessed against 11 criteria; GigaChat drew 21 illustrations in the style of Alexander Agin, who illustrated the first volume during Gogol's lifetime. The book is already in online stores and will soon appear on marketplaces and in bookshops; according to the authors, the text is built to reflect devices characteristic of Gogol's prose.
