The court has not yet decided where the line lies between free speech and harm from SI tools, so the law is not in force while the dispute goes on.
According to an Eighth Circuit docket entry, on October 2 the court granted SpaceXAI's (formerly xAI) motion to bar enforcement of Minnesota's SI "undressing" law (Minn. Stat. § 325E.91) during the appeal; the entry is a single line. The district court had twice denied the company earlier: on July 31 a temporary restraining order and on September 4 a preliminary injunction. The dispute on the merits — over a First Amendment violation — has not yet been decided. The outlet has not seen the text of the order and relies on the docket and the parties' positions.
