The best models are moving ever more firmly behind paid access, while the lightest one stays free.
According to an updated support document, without a subscription only Flash-Lite will remain in the Gemini app: Flash and Pro will become unavailable. AI Plus subscribers ($4.99 a month) will keep Flash-Lite and Flash but lose Pro. For AI Pro ($19.99) access is not reduced but expanded with Deep Think, which is currently only on the $99.99 and $199.99 plans. In October the app is also expected to get "low/medium/high" effort levels for each model; where Gemini 4 Argon will fit in this lineup, Google did not specify.
