The technical capability already exists almost everywhere; now it comes down to price, and it is falling.
Claude assessed about 7,600 physical tasks from the O*NET database on a scale from "robot cannot" to "copes outdoors". 34% of all working hours fall on tasks within robots' reach; with prices historically falling 3% a year, the share of economically viable tasks would grow to 10% in about 40 years. Caveats: the estimates are approximate, and leaps in SI capabilities could break the forecast.
