Sber's GigaChat-based agent closes 99.6% of second-line database support tickets on its own, 10,000 tickets a month

The routine work of database administrators has been almost entirely taken over by an agent; people are left for rare, complex cases.
Sber's team described on Habr its DBA Agent, which serves about 800 instances of the Platform V Pangolin DBMS (based on PostgreSQL): in 30 days it handled 10,182 tickets, of which 9,671 were VACUUM/ANALYZE runs, and the rest were disk cleanup and scheduled database shutdowns with approval checks. About 80% of the agent's code was written by a language model, GigaChat is used for analysis and pattern recognition, and the cost is about 260 tokens per ticket. By the team's estimate, the workload grew 24-fold without adding manual labor, saving more than 500 person-hours a month.
