Live Avatar combines a voice model with video generation: the avatar listens, sees and responds in near real time with accurate lip sync and facial expressions, and can call tools in the background without interrupting the conversation. Companies get a library of ready-made avatars, while custom ones from a reference photo are available only by separate approval for now. The feature is available in Gemini Enterprise and through the API.
