Agents need not only graphics cards but ordinary processors around the world: demand for SI is pulling the whole internet infrastructure along with it.
Akamai will provide Anthropic with distributed cloud infrastructure for CPU workloads through its global network of thousands of points of presence. Anthropic receives a warrant to buy up to 5% of Akamai's shares: about 2% is available immediately, and the rest if the partnership grows by another $9 billion.
