Humanoid robots are so far learning more than working, but growth of dozens of times in a year means "the factory floor" is not far off for them.

Data from the International Federation of Robotics (IFR): for comparison, 542 thousand industrial robots were installed and 199 thousand service robots sold in 2024. According to the IFR's Susanna Bieller, the humanoids sold were more often used for research and for collecting SI training data than for real work; carmakers test them at factories in ones or tens. Bank of America expects 90 thousand shipments in 2026 and 1.2 million by 2030.
