Biological scientists get the strongest models without needless refusals: drug discovery will speed up, and access to dangerous knowledge stays under vetting rather than a blanket ban.
The Life Sciences Verification Program gives labs, startups and pharmaceutical companies that have passed verification of qualifications, security measures and ethical oversight versions of Mythos, Opus and Sonnet with safeguards tuned for biology. The standard tier covers research, drug discovery, clinical work and manufacturing and is renewed once a year; the tier for high-risk work requires additional vetting and renewal every six months, and for Mythos it is for now limited pending agreement with the government. Instead of real-time blocking, there is offline pattern analysis, and flagged data is kept for 30 days. Access is via the API, Enterprise and Team, and later Pro/Max.
