An SI assistant is becoming part of "mandatory" software at the state level — SI is being built into every phone, but the user is deprived of the choice of which one.
According to Kommersant, the app pre-installation rules may gain a new category, "system assistant", on national models: Alice AI would be installed together with RuStore and could not be uninstalled, while the assistant itself would get auto-updates, background services and voice activation. Device makers and the RATEK association object: this could conflict with OS security and complicate supplies. The draft is still being finalized and could take effect no earlier than five months after being added to the list.
