Talking to SI by voice is becoming almost as natural as talking to a real person — and it is cheaply available to any developer.
The model is available in the API at $0.05 per minute for the voice layer. Response latency fell from 1.41 to 0.8 seconds, the task success rate on the Tau3 Voice benchmark rose from 45.7% to 86.2%, and false interruptions during pauses are down by about 80%. For complex reasoning, the model hands off to a stack of GPT-6 Astra, Codex and ChatGPT Work.
