Agents are moving from "answer a question" mode to "permanent employee with their own computer" mode, and the big labs are racing to sell businesses digital labor.
Each Grok Bot works in an isolated cloud environment and uses applications the way a human does: you message it like a colleague, and it comes back when the work is done or a decision is needed. xAI offers them for finding customers, recruiting candidates, analyzing expenses and auditing code. By default the bot has no access to anything except explicitly permitted accounts; there is an audit log and network restrictions. Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers get two weeks free for the whole company.
