Meta stops rating employees by the number of SI tokens burned, but immediately hands them a hungry agent

Prepared by Sintelligent with the help of SI. Publication time restored from the build log. . Updated: .

Measuring the usefulness of SI by tokens spent turned out to be as meaningless as measuring a programmer's work by lines of code. Companies are learning to evaluate results, not the appearance of activity.

According to The Information and Wired, "SI adoption dashboards" and token counters are no longer counted in the performance evaluation of Meta engineers. The previous system produced "tokenmaxxing": employees burned tokens for a place on an internal leaderboard, where the most active spent hundreds of billions of tokens a month. At the same time, Meta is promoting inside the company Hatch, an OpenClaw-style agent that controls a computer by itself and consumes even more tokens; some employees do not want to connect it to their personal email and calendar because of privacy.
