In Claude Cowork and Claude Code on macOS 15+, Claude now clicks, types and opens apps in hidden background windows, without taking the user's mouse and keyboard and waiting until the user finishes typing. The feature is in beta and available only on Pro and Max plans. Screen control is the last tool Claude turns to after MCP servers, the terminal, connectors and the browser; Anthropic warns that the safeguards are "not absolute" and advises against letting the agent into financial, legal and medical apps.
