Home devices are starting to obey not their own button but your SI assistant, which becomes a single remote control for the whole home.
The new Sonos 27 system includes its own voice assistant and Sonos 27mcp, a connection for external SI assistants via the MCP protocol, so that ChatGPT can play music in any room right from a conversation. Early access to MCP opens on September 8; alongside the system, the company introduced Ace Ultra headphones and a Beam Ultra soundbar, which go on sale on September 29.
