Google releases Pics, a "Canva in reverse" where you describe a picture in words instead of drawing it

Prepared by Sintelligent with the help of SI. Publication time restored from the build log. . Updated: .

Making work graphics no longer requires knowing how to use design software; it is enough to describe what you want.

Pics is built on the Nano Banana model: it makes posters, posts and illustrations from a text prompt, can select and change individual objects, edit and translate text inside an image, and supports collaboration. From September 1 the tool arrives in Docs and Slides for Workspace business customers and Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, and later in Drive.
