Driverless cars are turning from an experiment into ordinary city transport, and are now mastering even snowy climates.
The service opens by invitation to tens of thousands of already registered residents. Denver is Waymo's first city with a cold, snowy winter; in Tampa the company operates alongside Tesla's robotaxis. Waymo currently provides more than 500,000 paid rides a week and wants to reach 1 million by the end of the year.
