Corporations are moving en masse from experimenting with SI to buying their own hardware, and SI infrastructure buildout is gaining momentum.
Dell's second-quarter revenue rose 58% to $46.97 billion, of which $16.4 billion came from SI servers. The company raised its full-year forecast to $192 billion in revenue (the market expected about $172.7 billion) and to $74 billion in SI server sales. The shares rose more than 6% after the close of trading and are up 236% so far this year.
