Loading Google materials

What will happen

If you press "Enable video" in the "Video right in the feed" card, on interaction with a video, or in settings, you accept the policy and terms and choose Google loading. After that, your browser starts loading images and the embedded player directly from Google and YouTube services: source icons, video previews and playback of the videos you choose. These requests are made by your browser, not by our server. The request is initiated by the site's code after your choice; the recipient of the data is Google. The content of these requests is not recorded in our news database.

What data Google receives

With direct requests, Google receives the IP address of the connection, information about the browser and device, the requested resource and the time of connection. For the player, the site's domain is passed in the Referer; during viewing, Google receives information about interaction with the player. Automated collection, transmission and processing of data by Google are possible, including outside the Russian Federation, as is the use of cookies and other storage under Google's rules. Images are requested from i.ytimg.com and www.google.com; the player from www.youtube-nocookie.com.

The site does not get access to your Google account and does not keep your viewing history on its server. Your choice and the version of this text are stored in your browser's local storage without an identifier and without sending the record of the choice to a server. This choice concerns the loading of third-party materials and does not include a separate consent to analytics.

Duration and withdrawal

The choice remains in effect until you change it, delete the site's data in your browser, or are asked to choose again after the text changes. To switch off further loading, open "Privacy settings" at the bottom edge of the feed and turn off Google materials. The change is saved immediately and does not affect the separate analytics choice. An open player will be removed from the page. Deletion of data Google has already received is carried out through Google's tools and enquiries.
